This Policy defines acceptable use of the Nearby Pets India Platform. It supplements the Terms of Service & Conditions of Sale and applies to every visitor, registered user, and business partner. Breach may result in immediate suspension and, where warranted, referral to law enforcement.

1. Permitted Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to browse listings, place orders, and use support channels for genuine personal purposes. Any other use requires our express written consent.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You must NOT use the Platform to:

• Commit or facilitate fraud, extortion, or any offence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) or the Information Technology Act, 2000;
• Send, upload, or share material that is deceptive, misleading, defamatory, abusive, indecent, invasive of privacy, menacing, or racially or ethnically objectionable;
• Submit synthetically generated, manipulated, or AI-altered media that misrepresents animal identity, health status, pedigree certification, or regulatory approval;
• Impersonate any person, breeder, veterinarian, official, or the Company;
• Intimidate, harass, or threaten our personnel, support desks, or logistics handlers — see the Anti-Harassment & Zero-Tolerance Extortion Policy;
• Interrupt, damage, impair, or probe the Platform, or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or bot protection;
• Place orders with no genuine intention to complete them, or use false identity, address, or payment details.

3. Automated Access, Scraping and AI Training

The use of data mining tools, robots, crawlers, scrapers, or automated extraction of any kind — including for the training of machine-learning or AI models — is strictly prohibited without express written consent. Listings, descriptions, images, pricing and database compilations are protected content; see the Intellectual Property & Copyright Takedown Policy.

Page caching by a browser in the ordinary course of viewing the site is permitted.

4. Anti-Spam and Form Abuse

Every contact form, enquiry, breeder-verification submission, chat interaction, and order placement records the submitting IP address, timestamp, and browser metadata for security auditing and fraud detection.

• Submissions containing spam, malicious scripts, or unauthorised external links are rejected automatically.
• Bulk, repeated, or automated submissions are treated as abuse.
• Unsolicited commercial messaging to our staff or customers is prohibited.

5. Enforcement and Consequences

We reserve the right to preserve logs relating to suspected misuse beyond ordinary retention periods where required for investigation or legal proceedings.
