Grooming and coat care in Kangpokpi

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, a Saint Bernard Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Space and the outdoors with a Saint Bernard Puppy

Homes around Kangpokpi usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

The extended rainy season is the stretch that needs planning. Rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Feed age-appropriate food matched to a giant build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In high-rainfall tropical conditions water matters as much as food — rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The rainy season runs from May to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.

For a new Saint Bernard puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
